Van Driver
Location: Worthing, BN14
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
Pay: Paid for 10 hours per day
About the Role
Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Van Driver to join a busy waste management operation based in Worthing.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being active and working outdoors. The role involves delivering wheeled bins and waste containers to customers across the region while providing a professional and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company van to transport wheeled bins and waste containers.
- Deliver bins to residential and commercial locations across the region.
- Load and unload bins safely, ensuring they are handled correctly and secured during transport.
- Carry out manual handling duties, including regular lifting and walking throughout the day.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents.
- Represent the company in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service.
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Previous van driving experience is preferred.
- Physically fit and happy to carry out manual handling, including lifting and walking throughout the day.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery routes efficiently.
