Driver Hire are looking for a van driver for a full time position in Tonbridge.
You will be working for a family run company who specialise in clinical waste management. You will be responsible for the collection and disposal of hazardous, clinical and offensive waste. You can expect to visit businesses such dental practices, vets, nursing homes and aesthetic clinics.
The role is very customer facing and it is crucial that you enjoy engaging and getting to know regular customers on your service visits at their sites and have an enthusiastic nature for all aspects of the role.
Benefits of working as a Delivery Driver:
- £25000 per annum, £27000 OTE

Requirements to be a Van Driver:
- Cat B licence with some commercial driving experience
- Licence held for a minimum of 2 years with no more than 6 points
- Happy using a bespoke system on a digital tablet
- Safe and sensible manner as you are dealing with hazardous transit, such as sharp boxes
- Undergo Enhanced DBS check
Responsibilities of being a Service Driver:
- Flexible hours anything from 5am - 7 am start and finish between 12 - 2 pm
- Collecting (sometimes weighing), loading and safely transporting clinical waste
- Driving in the South East including South London, Surrey, Essex, Sussex and Kent with up to 15 visits per day,
- For each client you may be required to complete any of the following - collect sharps boxes, Dental waste containers, emptying clinical waste bins and feminine hygiene units, ad-hoc confidential waste collection and servicing of air freshener units or hand sanitisers and soap dispensers
Full training will be provided to ensure you have a complete understanding of the product range and services available.
