Van Driver / Furniture Delivery Driver - Immediate Start
£13.00 per hour | 11-Week Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
Driver Hire Edinburgh West are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to join a busy furniture delivery team.
This is a hands-on role involving the delivery of flat-pack furniture directly to customers' homes. You'll work alongside a 2nd Man, helping to safely load, transport and deliver furniture while providing a friendly and professional service to customers.
About the Role
- Drive a company van to complete furniture deliveries to residential properties.
- Work as part of a two-person delivery team alongside a 2nd Man.
- Assist with loading, unloading and carrying furniture into customers' homes.
- Deliver excellent customer service at every delivery.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure the van is kept clean and roadworthy.
- Follow company health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Previous van driving or delivery experience is essential.
- Confident using sat-nav/navigation systems and finding your way to different locations.
- Physically fit and comfortable with regular heavy lifting.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
- Friendly and professional approach when dealing with customers.
- Must be aged 25+ for insurance purposes.
Working Pattern
You will work one of the following shift patterns:
- Sunday to Wednesday
- Wednesday to Saturday
Working hours will be discussed at interview.
Temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential to move into permanent employment.
Please note: a 1-hour unpaid lunch break is provided each working day.
