About the Role 

The team of Supply Planners – South are responsible for executing the supply plan by purchasing finished goods according to the demand plan into the wholesale distribution network across England.  The team of expert planners work with the Inventory Analysts on converting the demand plan into a supply plan and managing the end-to-end supply into our respective warehouses, placing POs, managing supplier inbound and feeding back on demand plan inaccuracies as they go.

The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for ensuring our products are available for our customers to order with the right level of inventory to meet our cash targets.  In addition, the Supply Planning Manager will look at continuous improvement projects to improve efficiency and customer service at the lowest level of inventory.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Accountable for product availability in all specified stocking locations (8 depots in England) to meet customer forecasted demand.
  • Accountable for narrative for availability issues.
  • Supporting working capital initiatives at key times during the year.
  • Developing and coaching a team of exceptional planners.
  • Supporting the team with complex planning scenarios, e.g. events, seasonality, public holidays, etc.
  • Support of Supply Chain projects that impact inventory.
  • Making the right replenishment decisions balancing supplier payment terms with MOQs, delivery points and distribution recommendations.
  • To take a holistic view of the UK and ROI replenishment needs and build strategies for all territories.
  • Accountable for the escalation where product exit stalls.
  • Ultimately accountable for ensuring sale or return agreements are followed through.
  • Minimising stock loss.

About you 

You hold a degree-level education and have gained valuable experience in a complex supply chain environment, particularly within supply planning teams. Your strong numerical skills have been developed through collaboration with finance departments, ensuring accurate and efficient planning processes. While your background in the drinks industry is an asset, you are adaptable and well-equipped to excel in various sectors.
