Here at GXO, we are recruiting for a Stock Controller to work at our depot based at Garstang (PR3 0PL)  This is a part time permanent role working Tuesday to Friday from 10:00-14:00. (Due to the location your own transport would be essential)

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Review stock and operational activities within the warehouses; make decisions regarding these based on area performance monitoring and evaluations against key performance indicators
  • High level of stock responsibility, cycle counts and auditing
  • Inventory audits at the Roadside Technology Maintenance Centres located across the United Kingdom 
  • Investigate product specifications, correct product codes, descriptions
  • Order emergency stock for the regional depots
  • Allocate stock/ products to Work Order tasks based on the importance and priority level

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Full, clean driving license is required, holiday cover at different regional stores depots across UK will be required as part of the job.
  • Skilled in warehouse activities
  • Experience of working with computer packages including stock management systems
  • Strong IT, organisational and administration skills are essential as the role involves a high degree of systems interaction and stock accuracy
  • Proven planning skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as leading a team.
