A current valid Loading Shovel (wheeled) certificate along with previous experience is essential.

Job location: Ardley, OX27

Pay rate: £15.30 per hour, weekly pay, every Friday | Weekend can be required as well paid as OT Saturday 150% & Sunday 200%

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a Loading Shovel Driver to join our successful client based in the Ardley, OX27 area. Our client is a leader within the garden and food waste composting facility industry.

Loading Shovel Driver - Duties & Responsibilities

The role involves operating a Loading Shovel Truck to perform various tasks, processing food and green waste. This includes operating wheeled loading shovel, mobile shredder, mobile screener and maintenance associated with plant used. Driving loading shovel to transport materials within the facility and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

  • Loading outgoing vehicles and separating waste
  • Transporting material, feeding lines and hoppers with material for processing
  • Supporting general yard operations and cooperating with site management as required
  • Being aware of environmental factors and acting accordingly – weather conditions, wind, noise, dust and litter
  • Emptying chutes and bunkers

Loading Shovel Driver - Person Specification

  • Experience in similar position
  • Valid Loading Shovel licence
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Previous experience within a waste and recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
