Job Specification – Projects Engineer
Swain Special Projects is the specialist logistics division within the Swain Group.
The Company is regularly involved in major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across all industry sectors nationwide, encompassing construction logistics, heavy haulage and Contract Lifting activities.
It has a particular focus and expertise in Airside and Construction operations.
Detailed specification for the role, as follows: Position: Projects Engineer Based: Swain Special Projects offices are located in Strood, Kent, but has a number of other business unit locations as part of the Division, located at Gatwick, Hatfield and Langar. The offices in Strood would be the principle area of employment, but specific project assignments may require remote working where necessary. Reporting to: Projects Director, Swain Special Projects.
Hours of Work: The hours will typically be 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs Monday through Friday (with 1 hour for lunch-break) but due to the nature of the job this will flex accordingly, with a requirement to undertake night work on projects where necessary.
Company Vehicles: You will be provided access to the use of Company vehicles as necessary for the fulfilment of your duties. Should you be required to utilise your own vehicle on Company business, you will be entitled to claim mileage allowance in accordance with Government guidelines in place at the time (currently at £0.45 per mile for the first 10,000 miles per annum).
