At Lineage, our Special Operations team plays a crucial role in implementing our preferred warehouse management processes and systems. This high-performing team of managers and capability leads works closely with warehouse operations, project management, and IT to refine and deploy best-in-class operational processes.
We are looking to hire an Operational Process Specialist - Warehouse. As a key member of this team, you'll bring expertise in warehouse and office operations, along with a proven ability to lead change. Your primary responsibility will be the successful deployment of our globally established warehouse, inventory, and office processes.
The role can be based remotely in the UK, Netherlands or Denmark; regular travel to our locations across the Europe should be expected. Some travel to the US for projects and training may be required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all aspects of warehouse operations in a 3PL environment, including putaway, picking, marshalling, loading, and rework.
Lead and support projects that drive operational improvements and enhance efficiency.
Conduct site audits, identify gaps against the Warehouse Management System (WMS) Playbook, and implement corrective actions where appropriate.
Ensure process consistency across Lineage sites by adhering to global Playbook standards.
Document both new and existing processes in alignment with the Playbook structure.
Develop and implement training plans for new or enhanced processes to ensure seamless adoption.
Collaborate with office, inventory, and administrative teams to share insights and document findings effectively.
Coach, train, and develop warehouse operators to reinforce process consistency and operational excellence.
Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of warehouse operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues related to WMS, customer onboarding, pricing, billing, shipping, receiving, and exports.
Support ongoing operations as needed, adapting to business demands
Key requirements for the position:
Detailed knowledge of warehousing/office processes & inventory controls
Considerable project management experience, demonstrated track record of meeting critical paths, risk mitigation & stakeholder management
Ability to troubleshoot process defects
Preferred track record of making warehouse operations run efficiently
Strong understanding of Inventory controls
Has a passion for training people and be able to adapt to meet the needs of the group
Experience in implementations within the warehouse of a 3PL environment
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong influencing & proven relationship building skills at all levels
Strong system expertise - especially warehouse management systems
The ability to travel and work away from home for extended periods of time, especially in the run up to Go Live
