Reporting directly to the Assurance Business Partner and working in collaboration with a team of consultants you will be required to carry out the following:
• Undertake monitoring and sampling of various materials on sites within the metal recycling industry across the UK.
• Undertake the monitoring of environmental media, including surface water and trade effluent samples, soil or waste residues on sites across the UK.
• Participate in Phase I desk studies and Phase II ground investigations, including supervising sub-contractors.
• Participate in waste testing and waste classification projects and the planning and management of waste research projects and trials.
• Participate in dust monitoring, deployment, and collection of dust monitoring equipment where necessary.
• Assist with managing sub-contractors to complete other types of monitoring not undertaken in-house.
• Assist in other waste management and land quality projects as required, including liaison with clients and associated project management.
• Write and issue reports based on the outcome of monitoring and sampling events.
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure sufficient controls are in place prior to undertaking site work.
• Collate and analyse data for trend analysis to produce and issue summary reports relating to the sampling of materials and compliance with relevant legislation.
• Promote innovation and improvement through promptly addressing deficiencies raising interventions to actively contribute towards a positive safety culture and continual improvement of the IMS.
• Work in close collaboration with all Teams, Consultants and Technicians and support with the completion of tasks associated with other projects as instructed by the Assurance Business Partner and Head of Environmental Consulting.
• Prioritise tasks, effectively manage time and workload to maximise the completion of the above responsibilities.
