Minibus Driver - Ad Hoc Summer Work

Around 20 hours per week (Monday-Friday, flexible/ad hoc)
Driver Hire Edinburgh West is looking for reliable and compassionate Minibus Drivers to assist a local transport provider on an ad hoc basis over the summer period.
This is a rewarding role, supporting older passengers by safely transporting them to and from local day centres, helping them remain active, independent, and connected within their community.
The Role
- Transport passengers safely between their homes and local day centres
- Provide a friendly, respectful, and supportive service
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Keep the vehicle clean, safe, and roadworthy at all times
Working Hours
- Ad hoc summer work (hours not guaranteed)
- Monday to Friday availability preferred
- Typical shifts:
- Morning: approx. 8:00am - 10:00am
- Afternoon: approx. 2:00pm - 4:00pm
- Hours may vary depending on service requirements
What You'll Need
- Category D1 licence (no 101 restriction)
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital tachograph card
- PVG Disclosure dated within the last 3 years
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A patient, professional, and caring manner
- Maximum 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
- No CD, DD, DR, or IN endorsements
