We are looking for a highly organized Logistics Coordinator to play a key role in managing the flow of shipments and ensuring the timely export of goods. You’ll be at the heart of our logistics operations, handling everything from booking containers to liaising with depots, managing customs documentation, and keeping all stakeholders informed.

What You Will Be Doing
• Container Booking & Coordination: Book containers with third-party providers, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling. Build and maintain strong relationships with providers to guarantee container availability and on-time delivery.
• Scheduling & Planning: Collaborate with internal teams (depots, commercial departments) to arrange loading schedules. Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and shipping partners to confirm or adjust schedules. Ensure containers are loaded on time, meeting all agreed schedules.
• Depot & Loading Site Coordination: Work closely with depots and loading sites to confirm times, availability, and capacity. Ensure timely pick-up and delivery of containers and goods by coordinating with depot teams. Oversee site preparations, ensuring necessary equipment is ready for efficient container loading. Quickly address issues like container shortages or delays to minimise disruptions.
• Customs Documentation & Export Entries: Prepare and submit export documentation, ensuring compliance with international trade and customs regulations. Monitor the progress of customs clearance and address any delays or issues that arise.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate shipping and export records, ensuring all documents are properly filed and accessible. Track and update logistics-related data in internal systems, providing regular status reports to management.
• Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution: Resolve logistics-related challenges, including delays, cancellations, and discrepancies, in a timely manner. Collaborate with depots, customs authorities, and other stakeholders to address conflicts and delays in the export process.
• Monitoring & Communication: Track shipments and provide continuous updates to all relevant parties, including depots, loading sites, and customs authorities. Keep management informed on shipment status, customs clearance, and container availability.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with all logistics operations, including customs laws, safety protocols, and shipping regulations. Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
• Experience:
A proven track record in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, with experience in export and customs documentation.
A deep understanding of shipping procedures, customs regulations, and the ability to manage complex logistics operations.
• Communication Skills:
Strong communication abilities to coordinate effectively with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
Confidence in dealing with multiple parties to ensure smooth and timely operations.
• Attention to Detail:
A keen eye for detail and accuracy in scheduling, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple moving parts simultaneously.
• Problem-Solving Mindset:
The ability to address challenges and resolve issues quickly and effectively, minimising any impact on the overall logistics flow.
• Organisational Skills:
A highly organised and methodical approach to handling logistics tasks, with the ability to track shipments and maintain comprehensive records.
• Adaptability:
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changes in schedules, priorities, and operations.
• Microsoft Office
We need candidate comfortable with Microsoft Office suite in particular MS Excel
