Mobile Plant Operator

£13.73 – £14.90 per hour | Overtime up to £20.86 per hour
We are recruiting a Mobile Plant Operator for a busy waste and recycling site in Leicester. This is a stable, long-term opportunity offering competitive pay, regular overtime, and consistent hours.
The Role
Operating mobile plant machinery to support daily waste processing and site operations.
Plant Equipment:
- Loading Shovel
- 360 Wheeled Grab
(Both licences preferred, at least one essential.)
Hours
- Standard: 07:00 – 16:30
- Flexibility required between 06:00 – 20:00
- Overtime paid after 45 hours
Pay
- £13.73 – £14.90 per hour
- Overtime: £19.22 – £20.86 per hour
Duties
- Safe operation of mobile plant machinery
- Loading and moving materials across site
- Supporting recycling and waste processing
- Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Following strict Health & Safety procedures
Requirements
- Valid Loading Shovel and/or 360 Wheeled Grab licence
- Previous plant operating experience (waste/recycling preferred)
- Strong awareness of site safety
- Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented
