LGV Drivers

Full- time, Temporary

Class 1: £17.84

Class 2: £16.57

Exeter

Start date: Immediately



Due to expansion and seasonal uplift our prestigious Exeter based client is recruiting LGV C+E /HGV Class 1 and LGV C / HGV Class 2 drivers.  Candidates will be recruited initially on a 12-week contract. We are looking for day and night drivers.



As an LGV Driver you must:

  • Have either a valid Cat C+E or Cat C licence

  • Have valid CPC + Tacho Cards

  • No more than 3 penalty points for speeding due to insurance restrictions


LGV Driver responsibilities include:

  • Successful applicants will undergo an initial assessment day followed by 2 weeks of training

  • Vehicles are loaded by the night warehouse staff

  • Mainly roll cages and totes

  • The fleet is mainly 2 years old

  • The routes are either 2 distance drops or up to 9 drops in an area


The successful LGV Driver can expect:

  • Shifts starting between 4 am or 8 am.

  • The working pattern is 5 days from 7, this includes alternate Saturdays.

  • This role includes bank holiday working

  • Pay rates for LGV C+E start at £16.00 per hour rising to £17.84 per hour after the 12 weeks

  • Pay rates for LGV C start at £15.00 per hour rising to £16.57 per hour after the 12 weeks
