Job Title: HR Advisor

Base Location: Field Based

Salary: £26,527 - £40,852 depending on skills and experience, plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract until December 2024.

Could you be our next HR Advisor to join the team and drive this success forwards?

What will I be doing in this role?

By joining the team as an HR Advisor, you will provide vital support to managers and employees and be a key player in shaping our positive and productive workplace culture. You'll handle daily HR operations, manage employee relations, ensure compliance with employment laws, and contribute to innovative HR policies and programs.

On a typical day, you could expect to be working on;

  • Employee Relations: Providing HR advice and support to managers and employees, resolving HR issues, conducting investigations, and supporting disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Policy and Compliance: Ensuring HR policies comply with employment laws, advising management on legal HR issues, and maintaining accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Performance Management: Supporting the performance management process, coaching managers, and coordinating training programs.
  • HR Administration: Handling general HR inquiries through inboxes and phone, and managing HR communications and reports.
  • HR Projects and Initiatives: Participating in HR projects to improve processes and enhance employee experience.

What do I need to be successful in the role?

We expect you will be bringing your experience in a HR Advisor role from a similar scale organisation (circa 1000 employees) we would also love to see the following on your CV;

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent at communicating, influencing, and building strong relationships with stakeholders and trade unions.
  • Skilled at handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in managing conflict and achieving positive outcomes.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Committed to ongoing professional growth.
  • Capable of managing resistance to change, balancing competing priorities, and quickly absorbing new information.
  • Able to apply judgment, creativity, and flexibility to generate innovative solutions.
  • If you hold a CIPD qualifcation, this is a bonus.
