Spinwell is recruiting for a HR Advisor for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.



To provide a professional, effective, proactive and efficient HR service to achieve the business objectives.



  • Hold the CIPD Level 5 HR Qualification or equivalent with CIPD membership.
  • Provide accurate and timely professional HR advice considering the organisational impacts against a backdrop of force, regional and national considerations and influences.
  • Knowledge of providing solution-focused support to all employees to enable early resolution of workplace issues, improving manager and business confidence and capability by coaching through difficult workplace issues. Liaising with Senior Managers and stakeholders at Force, regional and national levels regarding complex situations that have a business impact, to achieve sustainable solutions.
  • Experience of coordinating a complex caseload using a risk-based approach that safeguards employer reputation and have the ability to resolve complex employment matters using a business focused approach to balance and manage interests, needs and expectations of stakeholders.
  • Day to day knowledge of utilising HR Management Information systems, including inputting, searching and retrieval of required data thus enabling you to use Microsoft software including MS
  • Excel at intermediate level to prepare and collate HR statistical data and present this in an appropriate format to a range of audiences, providing context and explanation of the data and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Considerable experience of providing accurate, professional, detailed advice and guidance both written and verbal, to officers and staff at all levels on a wide range of HR issues varying in complexity, including, knowledge of reconciliation methods and applying legislation at national, regional and local levels, policy & procedures. Experience of dealing with sensitive personnel situations, requiring exceptional communication skills at all levels.
  • To be responsible for day to day core HR activities ensuring best practice, HR and legal compliance including dispute, employee relations and performance. To provide advice and guidance on case management in respect of attendance management issues, performance, discipline, grievance and dispute issues and support the management of cases as required from the informal stage up to stage 3 of the formal process.
