HGV Class 2 Driver - Newry Area (Immediate Start) We are currently recruiting on behalf of an
award-winning independent wholesale company for an
immediate start in the Newry area. This role is offered on a
temporary-to-permanent basis, providing an excellent opportunity for long-term employment.
Working Hours & Remuneration:
- Monday to Friday
- 05:30 start - finish (guaranteed 8-hour day)
- £15.07 per hour
- Overtime available after 45 hours, paid at time and a half
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading goods efficiently and safely
- Multi-drop deliveries across Northern and Southern Ireland
- Direct customer interaction, ensuring professional service
- Secure transportation of goods using cage and pallet systems
- Daily vehicle checks to maintain roadworthiness
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 Licence (clean record)
- Up-to-date Digital Tachograph Card & CPC Card
- Experience handling 8-10 deliveries per day
- Strong knowledge of regional road networks
