Driver Hire Leeds West is currently working alongside a well-known haulage company to recruit an HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team based in Pudsey, LS28. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional, supportive team, where your skills are recognised and rewarded.
You'll start as a valued member of the Driver Hire Leeds West team for your
first 13 weeks, before transitioning into a
permanent role with our respected client - a nationwide name in haulage, contract logistics, and pallet distribution.
Pay & Benefits As a permanent member of the team you will enjoy;
- Permanent salary: £33,906 per year (Not including performance-related bonus, worth around £1500 annually),
- Monday to Friday - 45hrs per week - No weekends.
- Salary paid 4-weekly, meaning 13 paydays a year!

Whilst working for Driver Hire Leeds West
- £15.69 per hour (standard rate)
- £18.94 per hour (overtime rate)
- PAYE Advanced Rate including Holiday Pay whilst working for Driver Hire Leeds West
- Temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate
Job Duties As a HGV Class 2 driver, your duties will include;
- Safely drive and operate HGV Class 2 vehicle to deliver palletised loads safely and efficiently across the area.
- Operating modern, well-maintained Class 2 Vehicles
- Ensuring safe loading/unloading and accurate delivery paperwork.
Requirements
- Category C (Class 2 / LGV Cat C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum of 6 points on licence (no major endorsements)
- Good timekeeping and reliability for early starts
- Minimum of 12 months commercial class 2 experience.
