Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for a number of experienced
HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our ever-growing team! We cover the SK Postcode and have work available Monday through to Friday, with start times varying, usually between 5am-8am. Whether you are looking for full weeks or flexible working hours we have the option to suit you!
We have various contracts available such as multi- drop, flatbed, and general haulage work with roughly 50 clients supplied on a weekly basis. The Successful Class 1 HGV Driver will have:
- Valid Cat CE Licence (HGV Class 1)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card.
- A preferred 6 month of relevant driving experience
- No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, IN's, TT's endorsements)
Duties of this HGV Driver will include:
- Driving the HGV vehicle responsibly while obeying all traffic laws.
- Carrying out the required daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance.
- Assist with loading and unloading the vehicle when necessary
- Good communication with Branch Managers on daily progress.
The successful Class HGV Driver can expect:
- Minimum 8 hours pay per shift*.

Pay Rates: PAID WEEKLY VIA PAYE £17.59- Minimum 8 hours paid
£23.53- Paid after 8 hours
This rate of pay has holidays accrual included within the hourly rate, if you wish to accrue these separately then this rate will become £15.70h and £21ph overtime.
