Location: Edinburgh
Start Times: 7am starts, Monday-Friday, with optional weekend shifts
Pay Rates:
Mon-Fri: £14.50 PAYE / £16.25 PAYE Advanced
Overtime (after 8 hrs): £21.00 PAYE / £23.53 PAYE Advanced
Saturday: £21.00 PAYE / £23.53 PAYE Advanced
Sunday: £28.00 PAYE / £31.38 PAYE Advanced
8-hour minimum pay guarantee per shift
Weekly pay + holiday accrual (unless using PAYE Advanced)
Driver Hire Edinburgh City are delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to support one of our long-standing clients in Edinburgh.
This role provides ongoing work with a strong chance of extension or moving into a permanent position for the right individual. It's an excellent fit for drivers seeking steady hours, competitive pay, and a friendly working environment.
Your Main Responsibilities:
Driving a Class 2 vehicle to carry out multi-drop deliveries across Edinburgh and nearby areas
Working with a driver's mate to help with loading, unloading, and heavier deliveries
Completing all drops safely, efficiently, and on time
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate delivery records
Delivering excellent customer service at every stop
Requirements:
Valid UK Class 2 (Cat C) licence
Driver CPC and Digi Tacho card
No more than 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Minimum of 12 months' Class 2 driving experience
