Looking for flexible Class 2 work?
Driver Hire Edinburgh City are looking for experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to provide holiday and weekend cover for one of our long-standing clients across their Edinburgh East and West depots.
This is a great opportunity if you're looking to pick up extra shifts, boost your income or work around your existing commitments.
With flexible ad-hoc shifts available, you can let us know your availability and we'll keep you updated on suitable work.
The Role
You'll be completing multi-drop delivery routes, working alongside a Driver's Mate to make sure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.
Your duties will include:
- Driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle on multi-drop routes
- Working alongside a Driver's Mate
- Loading and unloading goods where required
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Reporting any vehicle defects
- Completing deliveries safely and on time
- Providing professional and friendly customer service
- Following all relevant health & safety procedures
Pay Rates
PAYE
- £15.95 per hour - basic rate
- £23.93 per hour - after 8 hours & Saturdays
- £31.91 per hour - Sundays & Bank Holidays
PAYE Advanced
- £17.88 per hour - basic rate
- £26.81 per hour - after 8 hours & Saturdays
- £35.76 per hour - Sundays & Bank Holidays
Minimum 8 hours' pay guaranteed per shift

What You'll Need
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum 9 penalty points
- No DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements
- Previous Class 2 experience preferred
- Comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Good communication and customer service skills
