Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers on behalf of a leading client operating from both their Edinburgh East and Edinburgh West depots.
We're looking for reliable drivers to provide ad hoc holiday cover and weekend support. This is a great opportunity if you're looking to pick up extra shifts around your current commitments.
The Role
- Operating a Class 2 vehicle on multi-drop delivery routes
- Working alongside a driver's mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading products as required
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting
- Completing deliveries on time and to a high standard
- Providing excellent customer service at customer premises
Pay Rates
PAYE
- £15.95 per hour
- £23.93 per hour after 8 hours and Saturdays
- £31.91 per hour on Sundays and Bank Holidays
PAYE Advanced
- £17.88 per hour
- £26.81 per hour after 8 hours and Saturdays
- £35.76 per hour on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift
Weekly pay
Overtime opportunities available
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum of 9 penalty points
- No DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements
- Comfortable with manual handling duties
- Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred
- Reliable, professional and customer-focused attitude
