Driver Hire Edinburgh City is recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to support a variety of well-established clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
Whether you're looking for full-time ongoing work, a few extra shifts each week, or flexible driving opportunities to fit around your current commitments, we have a range of assignments available with competitive rates of pay and immediate starts.
The Role
- Trunking and palletised distribution work
- Delivering and collecting goods between depots, distribution centres and customer locations
- Completing daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
- Accurately completing delivery paperwork and records
- Following all road transport legislation and health & safety procedures
- Minimal manual handling on the majority of assignments
Shift Patterns
- Day shifts
- Back shifts
- Night shifts
- Weekday and weekend work available
- Flexible scheduling to suit your availability
- Typical shift lengths of 8-12 hours
Pay Rates
PAYE
- £15.50 per hour
- £20.66 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
- £17.37 per hour
- £23.15 per hour after 8 hours

Requirements
- Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum of 9 penalty points
- No DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements
- Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
- Reliable, professional and safety-conscious attitude
Drug and alcohol testing may be carried out during induction and on a random basis throughout employment.
