About Our Opportunity
MBA Polymers is seeking an experienced and proactive leader to assume operational responsibility across all manufacturing facilities. This critical role focuses on optimising productivity and efficiency, upholding rigorous Health & Safety standards, and driving our global growth strategy. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that operations remain fully functional, minimise downtime, and consistently meet quality and performance targets. Additionally, you will champion energy-saving initiatives to reduce the organisations environmental impact, supporting our commitment to sustainability.
What You Will Be Doing
• Collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team to establish and implement strategic objectives that align with MBA Polymers' vision and goals.
• Managing daily operations across multiple sites, ensuring productivity meets high standards of quality, service, and adherence to specifications.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and information sharing.
• Driving problem-solving and process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other best practices.
• Ensuring compliance with product quality requirements and addressing customer concerns promptly and effectively.
• Managing inventory across raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to support seamless operations.
• Providing regular performance insights at company management and board meetings, contributing to strategic planning.
• Fostering a workplace culture of respect, engagement, and high performance, creating an environment where all team members can excel.
• Offering technical support on engineering, machinery, chemical processes, and maintenance to help the team meet targets.
• Enforcing rigorous health and safety standards, including PPE compliance and safe chemical handling procedures.
• Partnering with HR to manage recruitment, performance, training, and development, ensuring optimal team performance and growth.
About You
• Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Mining Engineering, or Industrial Production Management.
• Significant experience in industrial manufacturing, ideally within multi-site, shift-based operations managing teams of 50+.
• Strong IT and data management skills, paired with exceptional interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
• IOSH Managing Safely qualification (or equivalent health & safety certification).
• A resilient, analytical professional with excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
