dhRecruitment Perth are recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to work with our client based in Perthshire. As an agency chef, you will have the opportunity to work at various venues and events providing your expertise on a flexible basis.
Key Responsibilities for the successful Head Chef:
- Lead the kitchen during special events, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation
- Plan and execute menus that align with the vision and event theme
- Oversee the preparation, cooking and plating of dishes to the highest standard
- Manage kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operations under tight time frames
- Maintain a clean, safe and efficient working environment complying with food safety standards
Head Chef Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef
- Ability to quickly adapt to new kitchens, menus and team dynamics
- Flexibility to work on an ad hoc basis, including evenings and weekends
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Up to date knowledge of food safety, health and hygiene standards
- A valid food hygiene certificate is essential
- Own transport is essential
In return, the Head Chef can expect:
- Competitive hourly rate of £16.50 per hour (including holiday pay)
- Minimum of 8 hours guaranteed per shift (however, shifts will likely be longer)
