Driver Hire Edinburgh West is looking for an experienced Class 2 (Category C) HIAB Driver to join an established and growing business based in Broxburn.
This is a great opportunity for a driver looking for consistent work with the potential to move into a permanent position.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for delivering civils and drainage products to customers across Broxburn and the surrounding areas.
Your main duties will include:
- Safely operating a Class 2 vehicle fitted with HIAB
- Loading and delivering products to customers
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on time
- Planning and following suitable delivery routes
- Completing required delivery paperwork
- Complying with drivers' hours, tachograph and transport legislation
- Maintaining excellent health & safety standards
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
- Representing the company positively at delivery locations
- Assisting with other operational duties when required
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- HIAB certification - essential
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- At least 1 year's Class 2 driving experience
- Good knowledge of health & safety procedures
- Understanding of drivers' hours and transport regulations
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, flexible and willing to support the wider team
FLT experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
