Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a 3-month contract with a reputable food distribution company operating across Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for stable full-time work, consistent hours, and valuable experience within a busy logistics environment.
Newly qualified (new pass) drivers are strongly encouraged to apply
Working Pattern
- 3-month ongoing contract
- Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts available
- Typical start times: 7:00am or 11:00am
- Full-time hours with overtime opportunities during peak periods
Pay Rates
Monday to Friday
- £14.50 per hour (PAYE)
- £16.25 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
Overtime - After 8 Hours
- £19.32 per hour (PAYE)
- £21.66 per hour (PAYE Advanced)

- Minimum 8 hours pay guaranteed per shift

- Holiday pay accrued (unless PAYE Advanced is selected)

The Role
- Delivering food products across local and regional routes
- Completing multi-drop deliveries in a Class 2 vehicle
- Working alongside a driver's mate to assist with loading and unloading
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and completing paperwork accurately
- Providing a professional and customer-focused service
Requirements
- Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum 9 penalty points
(No DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious attitude
