Role Overview: As an HGV2 Driver, you will deliver pallets using a curtain-sided vehicle, ensuring timely and efficient service. You will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, adhering to safety standards and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a curtain-sided HGV2 vehicle safely and efficiently for local deliveries.
- Load and unload pallets securely, ensuring safe transportation to homes and businesses.
- Plan and follow designated delivery routes within the BB postcode area for optimal efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing client inquiries or concerns.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation to support operations.
- Collaborate with dispatch and warehouse teams to optimize delivery schedules and improve service efficiency.
You Must Have:
- A Valid HGV2 (Class 2) driving license.
- Driver CPC & Digital Tacho.
- Ideally Previous experience in pallet delivery or similar roles preferred.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to handle physical work, including loading and unloading pallets.
