Our client in Newton Abbot is looking for HGV drivers to work part-time, with the potential for full-time hours during peak periods. The role involves delivering a variety of palletised goods using a Class 1 curtain sider. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a well-established company on an ad-hoc basis, with the potential for a long-term position.
Job Details:
- Pay: £16.81-£17.93 per hour under PAYE ADV (alternative PAYE models available).
- Start time: 08:00 am, Monday to Friday.
- Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours of pay per day.
- Hourly wage; the more you work, the more you earn.
- Weekly pay schedule.
- Comprehensive training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transporting various palletised goods using a Class 1 curtain-sider.
- Ensuring the safe and secure delivery of goods.
- Providing exceptional customer service.
- Following company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
- Digital Tachograph Card and Driver Qualification Card (CPC).
- At least one year of HGV driving experience.
- ADR licence is a plus.
- Experience with tail lifts is beneficial, but full training will be offered.
