HGV Class 1 Driver - Steel | Thorne

Pay Rate: £17.37 - £26.06 per hour
About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a busy steel transport operation based in Thorne. You'll be responsible for transporting steel products across the UK using a flatbed wagon.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating a Class 1 flatbed vehicle
Transporting various steel loads to sites nationwide
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
Safely securing loads in line with health & safety standards
Occasional nights out may be required (not full weeks or every week)
Previous experience transporting steel is essential due to the nature of the loads.
Requirements:
Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
CPC & Digital Tacho Card
At least 2 years' Class 1 driving experience
Proven experience transporting steel on flatbeds
Strong knowledge of load securing and strapping methods
No more than 6 points on licence - no DD, DR, or IN convictions
Good understanding of driver hours and WTD regulations
