Pay rate: £15.77-£24.40

We are looking for Class HGV Drivers to start immediately for our growing client base across the IP postcode.

 

The successful Class HGV Driver will receive:

Basic pay £15.77, paid monthly for 42.5 hours per week

Increasing to £16.27 per hour once fully trained & independently spreading on farms.

Overtime at x 1.5 per hour and payable after 42.5 hours per week have been worked.

£25.00 Night out subsistence allowance (tax free) paid should on the rare occasion night out is required

1-hour unpaid break per day

Holiday entitlement per calendar year, 4 weeks + bank holidays (Pro-Rata)

Uniform will be provided

Automatically enrolled on Company Pension scheme (3% employer contribution, 5% contribution by you)

What to expect as a Class HGV Driver:

Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies.

Route Planning: Determine efficient and accessible delivery routes, considering factors like traffic updates, road closures, and delivery schedules.

Loading and Unloading: Oversee and assist with the secure loading and unloading of goods, ensuring goods are properly fastened and balanced.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle logs, and any incidents, ensuring all paperwork aligns with legal and company standards.

Collection of raw material from sawmills in box trailer

To deliver animal bedding to farms in bulk trailers & curtain side trailers

To spread shavings/sawdust/straw in poultry sheds using skid steer bobcat (Once trained)

To unload own vehicle with Moffett Fork Truck or Bobcat Skid steer (Once trained)

To load own vehicles if requested to do so (Once Trained)

Follow Health & Safety site rules in house and at destination

 

As a Class HGV Driver you must:

Class 1 HGV entitlement

Valid CPC & Digi tacho

At least 1 years' experience

Have no more than 6 effective penalty points
