Driver Hire Southampton are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our clients which specialise in general haulage deliveries.
Information about this Class 1 position:
- AD HOC work (between Monday to Friday)
- Delivering palletised goods on a Class 1 curtain sider
- Completing deliveries and some collections around the South Coast area
- Day and Night shifts available (10-12 hour days on average)
- Pallets are loaded and unloaded for you with FLT
- Night shifts include trunk runs and trailer swaps
- Communicating with Transport Office, following provided routes, completing all relevant paperwork correctly
Requirements from you as a Class 1 Driver:
- Full UK Class 1 licence with valid CPC and Digi card
- Minimum of 1 year experience driving a Class 1 vehicle
- Great communication skills
- Experience with curtain side trailers/ general haulage deliveries/ strapping
- Own transport to commute to and from work
- Fantastic time keeping and communications skills
- Complete daily vehicle checks
- Comply with the companies health and safety procedures
- Record Tacho hours correctly
