Driver Hire Reading are currently looking for a Driver's Mate to work with our client in Reading. Our client is the UK's leading home improvement and garden living retaile
r and they currently require a 7.5T Driver (Cat C1) to work with them on an ongoing basis. The role can start at 7am, 8am or 11am and each shift will last 8 hours. The working week is Sunday to Friday in week 1, then Sunday to Thursday in week 2, and then back into the week 1 cycle of Sunday to Friday.
The general duties of this role will involve driving a 7.5T vehicle assisting the experienced driver to make deliveries of a variety of goods to residential addresses in the South of England.
The pay rates on offer are as follows:
- £16.00 per hour Basic rate.
- £25.00 per hour Sunday rate.
These rates are paid on a PAYE model, and are inclusive of advanced holiday pay.
There is a minimum of 8 hours pay per shift. Suitable candidates will have the following:
- A full and valid UK driving licence, with CAT C1 entitlement.
- No more than 6 points (minor offences only).
- Current and valid CPC and Digi-Tacho cards.
- Previous commercial driving experience.
- Attainable references in a driving capacity.
- Appropriate PPE (Safety shoes & Hi-viz).
